Pat was the driving force behind the Karbeethan Sporting Association clubrooms being built between 2001-2004. He is also an important member of the Lions Club of Gawler, including stints as president, and is now a Life member. Pat also had a hand in the construction of the Centenary of Federation Rotunda in 2001, and is part of the on-going Gawler Railway Station redevelopment, through his involvement with Lions.

Since 2001 Pat has played an important part of the Gawler Agricultural, Horticultural and Floricultural Society’s committee, currently serving as President. Pat is also the driving force behind the very successful work for the dole scheme in Gawler.
