41. Adelaide Zoo
Representing the Adelaide Zoo, Kevin Evans was offered the World Harmony Run's Torch-Bearer Award for the zoo's many services within the community.
Adelaide Zoo demonstrates its commitment to the environment through its significant portfolio of endangered species breeding programs and research facilities.
With over 20,000 members and 300 active volunteers the zoo has an active community program that reaches deep into the South Australian community through outreach programs such as the Zoomobile which takes the zoo to remote parts of the State and the zoo's public speaking program that delivers important environmental messages to community groups throughout the State.
