New Zealand 27 October: All Blacks

At the invitation of the All Blacks rugby team's coach Graham Henry, who is a patron of the World Harmony Run, we made our way to their final practice for a quick photo with the team.

We got to see them train a little, and then it was all action stations as their Media Manager Joe organised a speedy couple of photos with the guys. Now in New Zealand these guys are legends, heroes for countless thousands of kids and adults alike.

Rugby is our national sport, it’s the one thing that can stop our nation in its tracks if the game is big enough – the one thing that everyone is an expert on. So to finally get the chance for these guys to hold our World Harmony Run Torch was just fantastic.

Ritchie McCaw, the captain of the team holding the torch

Both sets of players all shouted out for us, "World Harmony Run." Our thanks to Graham for making the chance to meet the team possible and to the players for joining in the World Harmony Run spirit!

We wished the team good luck as they were just about to catch a plane for their overseas tour.
