6. Lewisham Public School

Lewisham Public School in Sydney spent the whole day on May 9 celebrating Harmony Day, and the World Harmony Run team was invited to join the celebrations, occupying a significant part of the day's program.  The school principal could not speak highly enough of the enthusiastic involvement of the parents and students in the Harmony Day activities.

The presentation of the Torch-Bearer Award is to the students, parents and staff of Lewisham Public School for their collective devotion to the cause of harmony within their own community.
