Australia 23 March: Mount Gambier - Portland

Our gratitude to Joy Boyd for so kindly hosting us at the Central Caravan Park in Mount Gambier last night.

Preetidutta Thorpe and Anubha Baird had an EARLY morning interview at the ABC with Stan Thomson.

First school visit... the delightful Tantanoola Primary School!

Next school visit... Mulga Street Primary School. What a rousing reception!

And they loved the actions to the World Harmony Run Song.

The Deputy Mayor of Mount Gambier Council Mr Byron Harfield and Mulga Street Primary Principal Janine Millsop offer their support for the World Harmony Run.

We made some awesome new friends.

The students had all made friendship bracelets for Harmony Day and offered each of us one of their school wristbands with the virtues "respect, trust and safety" embedded in them.

An interview with WIN TV at the end of the school ceremony for tonight's news.

Next stop... Tenison Woods College SPORTS DAY! The wet weather didn't dampen the kid's enthusiasm.

A little sing-a-long cleared the clouds.

Finally we made it to Victoria. Plenty of wind and rain to greet us!

Meanwhile, some of our runners, 50 kms behind us, were enjoying some finer weather.

All Saints Parish School was our first school visit after we crossed the South Australian border into Victoria. One small problem – we forgot they were in a different time zone and we were half-an-hour late to the ceremony. They graciously accommodated our little oversight.

Their choir performed the song "We Are One".

Tonight we thanked team members Rathin Boulton and Abhinandan Willis for their great contributions to this year's Australian World Harmony Run with an icecream cake after dinner. Both team members will be leaving the team tomorrow for events in Sydney on Sunday.
