USA 7 May: Lake Providence, LA - Hill House, MS
After days of relentlessly intense heat we gratefully welcomed a sky full of brooding black clouds and the occasion drop of rain which eased the rays of the scorching sun
The team was welcomed in Greenville by Mayor Chuck Jordan who was recently elected and in the words of one passerby is "always doin good".
We were joined by different members of the City Government and the community and walked together through the streets of Greenville.
Mississippi is a state steeped in history and many of the locals have an amazing knowledge of historical events, which they eagerly share with us.
We are continually touched by the warmth and friendliness of the Southern hearts and the gratefulness they that show us for passing through their home towns.
Minakshi our host last night at the Relax Inn - very kindly gave us discounted rooms and it turned out we had stayed there 6 years ago.
