USA 4 May: Mobile, AL - Hattiesburg, MS
W. H. Council Traditional School gave us a colorful welcome with traditional costumes, songs and dances celebrating their multi-cultural student body.
The students and teachers prepared beautiful artwork which was displayed around the playground for our visit.

The World Harmony Run women's team enjoys the multi-cultural performances.
Our whole team was mesmerized by the skilled and colorful performances which reflected much effort and preparation on the part of the students and teachers.
All of the I.B.,or International Baccalaureate Award winners for the month of April. The International Baccalaureate Program aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
The children had an opportunity to pass the torch as they offered their goodwill.
The teachers were also excited about sharing the torch and passing it along with the children.

Mrs. Robin Dorsett proudly holds the torch with Tom from New Zealand. She is the I.B. Coordinator for the Council Traditional School.
Vajra, our team member from New York who just arrived, helps the children pass the torch and offer wishes for peace and harmony.
Joyce Cromer, the Science Lab Instructor, proudly wears her Peace Run t-shirt from our visit to this school in 2001. Joyce, along with Physical Eductation Instructor Karen Hackshaw, enthusiastically participated in our activities there 11 years ago.
Ratuja from Belarus carries the torch along a busy highway.
Wildflowers along our route have offered us their sweet fragrance and energy at times as we travel the sometime busy highways of this vast and beautiful land.
Hattiesburg Mayor Johnny L. DuPree (yellow shirt) holds the torch with Fireman Lt. Jimmie Harrell, Jr. The Vice Mayor and other employess of Hattiesburg also showed their support as they welcomed us to their beautiful city.
The teams runs toward Hawkins Elementary School with Lt. Jimmie Harrel escorted by the local Police and Fire Department.
The children and teachers of Hawkins Elementary School in Hattiesburg offered us an enthusiastic welcome with signs and Peace chants as we ran in from City Hall to their wonderful school.
All gratitude to the Comfort Suites of Hattiesburg for their spacious rooms and a much appreciated respite from the heat. General Manager Sherry Morgan and her daughter proudly hold the torch with Tom, one of our runners from New Zealand.
