Our second day in Rome!

Inizia il nostro secondo giorno a Roma!

Our day started with a visit to the Montessori school "Nerina Noe"...

La nostra giornata è cominciata con la visita alla scuola Montessori "Nerina Noe"...

It's always great to meet new children, and they are very eager and curious too!

E' sempre bello incontrare nuovi bambini... e anche loro son curiosi e non vedono l'ora!

The children here were absolutely great! As soon as they saw us approaching their school, many of them came out to join us running towards the school!

...i bambini qui erano veramente speciali! Molti di loro, appena hanno visto che stavamo arrivando, sono usciti per correre insieme a noi verso la loro scuola!

The kids served us refreshments...

I bambini ci hanno offerto uno spuntino...

...feel harmony in your heart...

...senti armonia nel tuo cuore...

...pass the torch...

...passa la fiaccola...

...and run with us! Now you are a real member of our team!

...e corri con noi! Ora sei un vero membro del nostro team!

...we gave all the children a little gift. This was the second meeting with this school - last time was on the occasion of the World Harmony Run European starting ceremony at the FAO Headquarters in Rome, in 2008... we are becoming really good friends! At the end of our visit we left them our "Certificate of Appreciation"!

...abbiamo dato a tutti i bambini un piccolo regalo... questa era la seconda volta che incontravamo questa scuola, la volta scorsa é stato in occasione della cerimonia europea di partenza della World Harmony Run, presso il quartier generale della FAO a Roma, nel 2008... stiamo diventando ottimi amici! Alla fine della nostra visita gli abbiamo lasciato il nostro "Certificato di Apprezzamento"!

Ciao, children of Nerina Noe school! It was great to share with you our wishes for peace and harmony!

Ciao bambini della Nerina Noe! E' stato fantastico condividere i nostri desideri di pace ed armonia!

We then headed towards our second school of the day, the "Don Rinaldi".

Ci siamo poi diretti verso la seconda scuola della mattinata, l'istituto "Don Rinaldi.

...they were waiting for us in the school garden...

...ci stavano già aspettando nel giardino della scuola...

...they asked us many questions...

...ci hanno fatto un sacco di domande...

...and literally submerged us with their affection and enthusiasm!

for example here (top)... I am trying to "survive" to the admirers!!!

...e letteralmente sommerso col loro affetto ed entusiasmo!

per esempio qui sopra...sto tentando di "sopravvivere" agli ammiratori!

...we left the city running along the queen of ancient Roman streets, the Via Appia Antica!

...abbiamo lasciato la città correndo lungo la regina di tutte le antiche strade romane, la via Appia antica!

...it still looks pretty much the same as it was 2000 years ago!

...sembra ancora piuttosto simile a come doveva essere 2000 anni fa'!

What amazing scenery!

Che scenario meraviglioso!

Near Frascati... Manjula learned the typical Roman way of drinking from water fountains...

And the water tasted really excellent!

Vicino Frascati... Manjula alle prese con il tipico modo romano di bere dalle fontanelle!

E l'acqua era veramente buona!

Running in the countryside outside Rome in the direction of Anzio, our next stop...

Tomorrow we will meet a lot of children there!

Eccoci mentre corriamo nei dintorni di Roma, direzione Anzio, la nostra prossima tappa... domani incontreremo un sacco di bambini li!
