14. Nathan Fa’avae
September 22
Nathan Fa'avae is one of the best all round adventurer racers in the world and Captain of Team Seagate - the highly successful New Zealand Adventure Racing Team. Nathan is an expert navigator with a broad range of skills and experience in the outdoors. He is a qualified instructor in white water kayaking, sea kayaking, canoeing, rock climbing, snow boarding, mountain safety and navigation.
In November 2005, he retired from his long and successful career as one of the world's top adventure racers after heart surgery to correct a condition that can be fatal and which he has had throughout his racing career. An inspirational speaker and great communicator, Nathan's philosophy on life is to achieve happiness by doing the things that bring you joy.
