Caribbean 23 May: Guyana
Hon. Samuel Hinds MP Prime Minister
The closing ceremony of today’s events took place in Geogetown, Guyana where we were extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to meet with Hon. Samuel Hinds MP Prime Minister. He graciously held the torch and offered kind words of wisdom and encouragement to our team. His presence at our ceremony was extremely powerful and deeply appreciated.
Obadele Thompson
Before we left Barbados, we began our morning with a real thrill. Obadele Thompson, from Barbados, the track and field superstar and Bronze medalist in the 100 metre sprint from the Sydney Olympics met us at the University of the West Indies - Cave Hill Campus in order to hold the World Harmony Torch. Obadele was extremely kind and humble for such a great athlete, and we were really grateful for the opportunity to meet him.
Army In Green
We were joined by the Army in green, children in white, and a local track team in red on our 26 mile run into Georgetown from the airport. All of the participants in today’s run brought loads of enthusiasm and support

Keith Booker
Our dear friend Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sport Keith Booker explains to Salil and myself, about all of the exciting events and running routes that he has planned for us.
