10.00am Civic Reception and tour of the Dinosaur Museum at Museum Café, cnr Flinders Highway and Gold Ring St, Richmond. Morning tea and museum tour with Deputy Mayor Councillor Robert Ievers

11.00am Run from Museum Café to marker 70km before Hughendon (42km)

2.00pm Drive to accommodation in Hughendon (70km)

6.30pm Dinner at The Diggers Entertainment Centre

Dinner: The Diggers Entertainment Centre, Brodie Street, Hughenden at 6.30pm. A dinner organised by the Hughenden council and community, with Mayor or Deputy Mayor (TBA) and community groups. Council have been advised that team is vegetarian and that no alcohol is to beserved.

Wednesday – 5 August
Charters Towers to Townsville – 133 km

9.30am Run from previous day’s stopping place to kids meeting place

10am Ceremony, All Souls St Gabriels School, Flinders Highway, Charters Towers. Principal is Michael Tucker. Address the school assembly for up to 10 minutes. NOTE: about 10 children want to run in with the team. After ceremony run out of school to Defiance Park

12noon Civic Reception, Defiance Park, Boundary St Charters Towers. A catered reception with Mayor Ben Callcott for 8 runners (including RV crew)

1pm Run from Defiance Park to Mingela (47km), stop at marker

4pm Drive to accommodation in Townsville (86km)

Mingela to Woodstock 46km

8.20am Drive to Mingela (47km), leave marker

9.00am Run to Woodstock (46km), stop at marker

12noon Drive to Townsville (40km)

1.00pm Visit Sri Chinmoy Peace Marine Park plaque at “Reef HQ” Aquarium (“Your Window to the Reef”), the world’s largest living coral reef aquarium, Flinders St East (adjacent to Museum of Tropical Queensland)

Woodstock to Townsville 40km

9.00am Drive to Woodstock (93km), leave marker

10.00am Run north along Flinders Highway to Townsville (40km), consult with Rathin on precise spot to run to

1.00pm Visit Sri Chinmoy Peace Marine Park plaque at “Reef HQ” Aquarium (“Your Window to the Reef”), the world’s largest living coral reef aquarium, Flinders St East (adjacent to Museum of Tropical Queensland)

RV Team (to include Charters Towers Civic Reception)

Accommodation:
Showgrounds Caravan Park, Ingham Rd (cnr King), Townsville. Cross over the railway bridge and drive along the service road to access the Showground Office - this is where you will find Sharon. Free camping for all the team (apart from the 6 who are staying with Rathin's mum) - someone to arrive before 4.30pm to meet with Sharon
