10am Drive to Elliott School and measure 62km south and place marker (drive of 134km)

11.30am Run south to Renner Springs Desert Inn 30km

8.45am Run south to Newcastle Waters School, Stuart Hwy 48km

11am Drive to Peko Park, Main St / Peko Rd – centre of Tennant Creek (71km)

12noon Ceremony – Welcome Meeting, (Barkly Shire Council), Media - Tennant & District Times, CAAMA Radio , Official welcome by Warramunga people. Fruit will be provided.

12.30pm Sightseeing and accom

Renner Springs+90km to Threeways 47km

9.30am Run from marker to corner of Stuart and Barkly Hwys (Threeways) 47km

Rathin, Amalendu – after packup drive 30km from accom (to marker) and run 20km to marker (and empty waste) If finished before 10.40am, Drive to 1200 meeting at Tennant Ck Else drive to accom and then join others for sightseeing

8.45am Run from yesterday’s stopping point to Camooweal State School



9.00am Camooweal State School, Nowranie St. Dan Murtas (Principal) , small school with 48 students aged 5–13. 30–40 minutes ceremony. Refreshments provided. Torch-Bearer Awards to Taysharn Anderson and Fabrianne Perkins – please obtain nomination statements before you leave! Consent forms for photographing children have been sent to parents, please check with teachers before commencing ceremony

10.00am Run from Camooweal State School to turnoff to Flora on rhs 70km

2.30pm Drive to accommodation in Mt Isa


Team B
Flora turnoff to Mount Gordon turnoff 74km

7.30am Drive to turnoff to Flora of rhs 70km, leave marker

8.15am Run east along Barkly Highway to turnoff to Mount Gordon and Waggabundi on lhs 74km

1.15pm Drive to accommodation in Mt Isa

Team C
Mount Gordon turnoff to Mt Isa 44km

Mt Isa to Julia Creek – 258 km

Mt Isa to Cloncurry 121km

7.30am Run from yesterday’s stopping point to entrance to Cloncurry, stop at marker

3.30pm Cloncurry Races, Shoemaker Park, Sir Hudson Fish Drive (the road leading to the airport). Meet with the Mayor Andrew Daniels around 4 pm and enjoy the races!

5pm Drive to accommodation in Julia Creek 137km

Entrance to Cloncurry to Oorindi turnoff 63km

10.00am Civic Reception, Mount Isa Civic Centre, 23 West St. Morning tea with the Mayor Ron McCullough. RV crew also to attend

11.00am Drive to entrance to Cloncurry (121km), leave marker

12.15pm Run east along highway to turnoff to Oorindi on rhs 63km

4.15pm Drive to accommodation in Julia Creek 74km
