12.36pm MC introduces Prachar Stegemann – the National Co-ordinator of Australia’s World Harmony Run 2008

12.36pm Prachar Stegemann speaks about the Run and its founder – Sri Chinmoy. Introduces the WHR song and announces the International Recording of Sri Chinmoy’s WHR theme song to be played as the Team arrives now in Rundle Mall.

12.39pm *Play CD of WHR song (loud)…*Kylie phones Julie on WHR 1 mobile as cue for runners to run down together. Toby from Power to hold Torch with WH Runners. Fade song as members arrive onstage.

12.40pm WHR Team Runners, Power Players Toby and Gavin, and Lightning players Mia and Jess all run into mall site up onto stage.

12.41pm MC introduces Toby Thurstans (a senior & premiership Power Football Player) to speak.

12.41pm Toby from Power holds Torch & speaks briefly about WHR.

12.42pm Toby passes Torch to MC who invites each Runner to announce their nationality and MC announces his own culture.

12.43pm MC passes Torch to first Runner who approaches mic to hold Torch briefly and announce their nationality before passing torch to next runner and files off stage.

12.45pm Stage is clear of people and objects whilst MC introduces “Barefoot and Brilliant” Dance Students from Strathalbyn led by Emily Currie to perform a Celebratory dance, “You can’t stop the Beat”

12.49 MC introduces Jenni Kneale to sing “United in One Dream”. (Please set up keyboard onstage) This song was composed by musician friends of Jenni’s and performed at the Opening Ceremony of the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Jenni is a beautiful and soulful operatic singer and when asking the Universe which song could possibly be special enough for the World Harmony Run’s Ceremony, was led intuitively to this special piece of sheet music which fitted like a dream. She has just gotten over the flu so we are grateful her voice will be OK to use today.

12.50pm United in One Dream – sung by Jenni Kneale

12.53pm MC introduces World Harmony Run Choir to sing “My Australia” composed by Sri Chinmoy. Although the Team are primarily Runners, they get tremendous inspiration from singing Sri Chinmoy’s songs and this composition is dedicated to the Soul of Australia, our vast continent which the team is journeying around for over 3 and a half months this year.

12.57pm MC introduces Kristal Collins to sing “Rise and Shine”. Kristal is a young, fresh, rising star who’s inspirations lie in the genre of Contemporary Country based music. She was the recipient of the 2006/07 Junior Entertainer of the Year Award and also the Junior Champion of Champions Award.

We’d like to thank Festival of Music who sponsored the choir’s travel into our event at short notice.

Lewis has spent many years of selfless work, raising awareness and knowledge of Indigenous culture and life among his fellow Australians. He has been involved in writing school curriculum and is currently an Adjunct Research Fellow at the University of SA in the David Udaipon School of Indigenous Studies.

10.45am Run to Hewett Public School 3.2km Head north on Main North Rd 2.5 km. Turn right at Kingfisher Dr 0.7km

11.30am Run from school to Tarlee 35.4km and then to Auburn 30km. Return to Main North Rd and continue north (A32) through Tarlee, stay on main North Rd towards Clare (it becomes B82). Stop at intersection with B84 in Auburn (65.4km)

Clare + 7.6 to Gladstone 67.1km

8.50am Run from intersection of B82 and B80 on the B82 towards Gladstone (Main North Rd) 67.1km

11.20am Drive to Quorn, cnr B82 and Railway Tce (78km)

12.20pm Run east along Railway Tce .4km, Left at Oval Rd to Quorn Caravan Park, 8 Silo Rd

12.30pm Ceremony & lunch (Team B as well) Councillor Gary Lucas of the Quorn Caravan Pk to host visit to Quorn for two teams Lunch (veg foccaccias etc) in the caravan park with community members, staff, councillor, residents.

1.40pm Drive or run to The Quorn Cup, Racecourse Rd, Quorn. Meet at eastern end gate at 1.55pm. Have lots of flags.

1.55pm Meet Craig Jarrett at gate, he will instruct us to proceed to racetrack & head left up to the 400m peg. Then run down the straight, (We will be introduced over loudspeaker as we approach the winning post!), past winning post for another 100 m. Craig will be at finish to escort us off. (20min).

9am Run from corner of B82 and Orroroo Murray Town Rd, Murray Town to cnr B82 and Wilmington Quorn Rd, Wilmington 39.1km

11.45am Drive to Quorn Caravan Park, 8 Silo Rd Quorn

12.30pm Ceremony & lunch (with Team A) Councillor Gary Lucas of the Quorn Caravan Pk to host visit to Quorn for one team.(advise if 2) Lunch (veg foccaccias etc) in the caravan park with community members, staff, councillor, resdidents

1.40pm Drive or run to The Quorn Cup Racecourse Rd, Quorn. Meet at eastern end gate at 1.55pm. Have lots of flags.

1.55pm Meet Craig Jarrett at gate, he will instruct us to proceed to racetrack & head left up to the 400m peg. Then run down the straight, (We will be introduced over loudspeaker as we approach the winning post!), past winning post for another 100 m. Craig will be at finish to escort us off.(20min).

2.30pm Drive to accom in Port Augusta

9.15am Run along Wilmington Quorn Rd to Railway Tce Quorn 39.1km

12noon Turn left onto Railway Tce, right at T-junction, left onto Quorn Rd, continue running on Quorn Rd (B82) for 33km

2.15pm Turn right onto Princes Hwy 6.2km, left at Flinders Tce 0.3km

3pm Ceremony Wadlata Outback Centre, 41 Flinders Tce Port Augusta, advertised in Press – Café closes at 4pm.

4pm Drive to accom

Entire team: Shoreline Caravan Pk, Gardiner Ave, Port Augusta 10 -12 in beds in rooms, rest can camp. Camp kitchen to use .
