After a good night's sleep we started driving to Murcia. We had a ceremony organized at a national swimming contest, the 25th Fuensanta Trophy. We were received by the Chairman of Sports for Murcia and the organizer of the contest, Jose Antonio Noguera, and the swimmers who took the relay of the torch.

Después de un buen sueño comenzamos conduciendo hasta Murcia. Teníamos organizado llevar la antorcha al 25 Trofeo Fuensanta de Natación. Allí fuimos recibidos por el Concejal de Deportes de Murcia, el Presidente del Club Fuensanta organizador del campeonato, Jose Antonio Noguera y los nadadores que tomaron el relevo de la antorcha.

During a break between events we ran in with the torch and gave a brief explanation of the run and its goals.

En una de las pausas entre las competiciones, entramos corriendo llevando la antorcha y dimos una breve explicación de la carrera y sus objetivos.

The cheering from the crowd was very encouraging and as we passed the torch around the indoor swimming stadium it really struck us how sport can really help to bring people together.

Los gritos del público han sido muy alentadores y mientras pasamos la antorcha alrededor de la piscina cubierta nos impactó nuevamente cómo el deporte puede realmente unir a las personas.

Enrico contemplates joining the World Harmony Swim Team.

Our next stop was the train station in Sitges, near Barcelona, where we needed to pickup our good friend Hareen. We'd missed him since our last visit to Spain over a week ago.

Nuestra siguiente parada en esta inusual etapa de hoy fue la estación de Sitges, cerca de Barcelona, donde recogimos a nuestro buen amigo Hareen. Le echábamos de menos desde nuestra estancia en España hace una semana.

He had arranged to bring us to the Tibetan Buddhist Monastery of Sakya Tashi Ling in the mountains of Plana Novella, inside the Natural Park El Garraf.

Él ha organizado llevar la Antorcha al Monasterio Budista Tibetano Sakya Tashi Ling en La Plana Novella, dentro del Parque Natural del Garraf.

This unique building dates back to 1890 and was originally built by a catalonian businessman who made his wealth in the Cuban colonies.

The workmanship and artistry is very reflective of the owner's flare for eclectic styles.

Este edificio singular data de 1890 y fue originalmente construido por un hombre de catalán que hizo fortuna en las colonias de Cuba.

Toda la artesanía y decoración reflejan su gusto por una ecléctica mezcla de estilos.

Since then it has changed hands many times and is now a place of prayer and meditation. The original rooms are now used for many purposes including a museum to preserve Tibetan culture, a guest house and of course for meditation.

Desde entonces ha cambiado de manos en muchas ocasiones y ahora es un lugar consagrado a la oración y la meditación. Las habitaciones originales son utilizadas ahora para muy diferentes propósitos incluyendo un museo para preservar la cultura tibetana, una casa de invitados y por supuesto la meditación y la enseñanza de la práctica budista.

The monks and nuns that live as permanent residents welcomed us with open arms. They explained that when they first began the monastery their aim was to create an open environment where people could come and visit for the day or stay for several weeks. In addition to the Buddhist teaching that they offer, they also provide classes in Yoga, Reiki and traditional Tibetan medicine.

Los monjes y monjas que viven como residentes permanentes nos dieron la bienvenida con los brazos abiertos. Nos explicaron que cuando ellos llegaron por primera vez al monasterio, su objetivo era crear un entorno donde la gente pudiera venir de visita para uno o varios días. Además de la enseñanza Budista que ofrecen, también se realizan cursos de Yoga, Reiki, Feng Shui y medicina tradicional Tibetana.

In the evening we had the honour and privilege to meet with the community and to receive blessings from the Venerable Lama Jamyang Tashi Dorje Rinpoché . We will never forget the beautiful and soulful prayers that he and the rest of the monks and nuns recited in hour for our success and protection.

We also are very grateful to this wonderful community of Sakya Tashi Ling for an excellent diner and good beds. If you pass through this area of Spain, you shall visit this place !

Al atardecer tuvimos el honor y privilegio de reunirnos con la comunidad y recibir las bendiciones del Venerable Lama Jamyang Tashi Dorje Rinpoché . Nunca olvidaremos los hermosas y fervorosas oraciones que él y el resto de los monjes y monjas recitaron por nuestro éxito y protección.

Estamos tambíén muy agradecidos a esta maravillosa comunidad de Sakya Tashi Ling por una excelente cena y alojamiento. Si pasáis por esta parte de España, ¡visitaréis este lugar!
