This morning blessed us with an ideal running temperature of about 10 degrees of Celsius. The sky was initially overcast, but it wasn't long before the sun appeared again.

Passing by the city of Alcalá de Guadaira, we admired its historical treasures, especially the castle on the hill.

Then we spent several hours running through large Spanish fields with olive trees and nice villages all painted in white.

Esta mañana nos bendijo con una temperatura ideal de unos 10ºC. El cielo estuvo inicialmente cubierto, pero no pasó mucho tiempo

hasta que el sol apareciese de nuevo.

Pasando por Alcalá de Guadaira, admiramos sus tesoros históricos, especialmente el castillo sobre la colina.

Estuvimos varias horas corrriendo entre extensos campos llenos de olivares y hermosos pueblos pintados de blanco.

We spent much of the day on the highway A-92, up to the city of Osuna, well known with its long and rich history...

Otra buena parte del recorrido discurrió por la autovía A-92, hasta la ciudad de Osuna, bien conocida con su larga y rica historia...

At the city border, children from different sporting teams organised by Manuel Alcaide, manager of the Fundación de Deportes, took the torch up to the beautiful Plaza de Espana, where the city hall is located.

A la entrada de la ciudad, chicos de diversos equipos deportivos organizados por Manuel Alcaide, gerente de la Fundación de Deportes, tomaron el relevo hasta la pintoresca Plaza de España, donde se encuentra el Ayuntamiento.

There we were recieved by city representatives, TV and sports trainers...

Allí fuimos recibidos por representantes de la ciudad, televisión local y preparadores físicos...

We had a very special dinner at the Fundación de Deportes, which is an ideal place for practicing many sports, like football, running, tennis - even horse riding demonstrations!

Until now we have been very lucky as regards finding a place tp sleep; many many thanks to our Spanish coordinator Hareen for hius help. This night we found our lodgings at what was the very beautiful sixteenth century Convento de la Merced

, which now houses the Fundación Escuela Andaluza de Economía Social. The serene beauty of this place somehow embodies the whole feeling we are getting from our Spanish pilgrimage.

Tuvimos una cena muy especial en la Fundación de Deportes, que es un lugar ideal para la práctica de fútbol, atletismo, tenis y muchos otros deportes -incluso demostraciones de montar a caballo.

Hasta ahora hemos sido muy afortunados con los sitios para alojarnos; muchas, muchas gracias a nuestro coordinador español por su servicio. Esta noche, fuimos espléndidamente atendidos y hospedados en lo que antes fue el bello Convento de la Merced del siglo XVI. La serena belleza de este lugar encarna de algún modo todo el sentimiento que estamos obteniendo de nuestro peregrinaje español.
