As the team started the day’s running, morning rush-hour traffic cheered and honked enthusiastically.

Les coureurs de la CHM débutent leur journée de course avec les encouragements et coups de klaxons des automobilistes durant l'heure de pointe du matin.

The first school we visited was the Canadian Montessori Academy, where we were welcomed by a group of students blowing conches while we ran into the gymnasium. After singing the World Harmony Run Song , staff and students performed their own “Power of Peace” song, complete with actions.

Notre première visite était l'Académie Canadienne Montessori. Un groupe d'élèves soufflaient dans les conques pour acclamer notre course autour du gymnase. Les élèves ont également chanté notre chanson-thème de l'Harmonie. À la suite, les étudiants et professeurs ont présenté leur chant " Le Pouvoir de la Paix" avec des mimes bien adorables.

To end the presentation, the students held up their own handmade harmony torches and declared “peace and harmony for the entire world!”

Pour conclure la présentation, les étudiants ont tenu leurs propres flambeaux d'Harmonie qu'ils ont eux-même confectionnés. Ils ont fait une déclaration dédiée à "la Paix et l'Harmonie dans le Monde entier".

The event at the Rainbow Montessori School began with a unique run outside, around the school; each grade participated in the relay, with parents and teachers encouraging the young runners.

La cérémonie à l'École "Rainbow Montessori School" s'est déroulée avec une course bien unique en son genre, à l'extérieur et autour de l'école. Chaque niveau de classes scolaires ont participé au relais, incluant plusieurs parents et professeurs qui encourageaient les jeunes coureurs.

Children cheered the motto “World Harmony Begins with Me” and sang a moving arrangement of “We are the Children of the World”. We ended our inspiring visit with a series of group pictures with students, parents and school staff.

Les enfants s'exclamaient de joie en hurlant le slogan de la CHM, "L'Harmonie Mondiale Commence avec Moi". Pour terminer, nous avons pris de très belles photos des étudiants, parents et professeurs de l'école.

At Frank Ryan Sr. Elementary, the enthusiasm of the students was contagious! We were greeted by over 400 energetic grade 7's and 8’s, who gave the team a thunderous round of applause.

À l'École "Frank Ryan Sr. Elementary" l'enthousiasme des élèves était contagieuse! Nous avons été acclamés avec des applaudissements tonnants, par plus de 400 étudiants de 7ième et 8ième année débordants d'enthousiasme.

Students participated in all of the harmony activities and offered thoughtful comments on what harmony meant to them. We took the opportunity to express our appreciation to the principal Debby Clark and the entire school, offering the official "world harmony run team shirt".

Les étudiants ont participé à toutes nos activités d'Harmonie et ont offert des commentaires très profonds et émouvants sur la signification de l'Harmonie. Nous avons profité de l'opportunité pour exprimer notre grande appréciation à la Directrice de l'école Debby Clark en lui offrant le T-Shirt officiel de la CHM. Tous nos remerciements les plus sincères à toute l'école.

Next it was everyone into the school yard to cheer selected track students as they ran with the team, before passing the torch around the giant student circle.

À la suite, tous dans la cour d'école encourageaient les étudiants sélectionnés pour courir avec les coureurs de la CHM. Puis, formant un gigantesque cercle, chacun a pu expérimenter la joie de toucher au flambeau.

Our final visit was to St. Daniel School, where we were inspired by the student artwork posted throughout the hallways on the theme of friendship and teamwork. Here, students really became a part of our ceremony as they created some great rhythms together and asked the team great questions.

Notre dernière visite était à l'École "St. Daniel School", où les étudiants nous ont impressionné avec leurs dessins ( réelles oeuvres d'art sur le thème de l'amitié et de la coopération ) décorant le corridor de l'école. Ici, on a eu droit à une participation incroyable des étudiants. Pour la cérémonie, ils ont présenté une création de rythmes musicaux tout à fait dynamique et nous ont posé des questions démontrant leur grand intérêt.

Outside, everyone held the torch and made a wish for world harmony. The teachers began to run a lap around the students, which created so much excitement that everyone joined in! Many thanks to Principal Ms. Souliere-Brown for the warm welcome offered by this beautiful little Ottawa school.

À l'extérieur, chacun a tenu le flambeau et offert ses souhaits pour l'Harmonie Mondiale. Les professeurs ont formé un cercle en courant autour des étudiants; ce qui a provoqué tout un enthousiasme, de telle sorte que chaque personne a voulu participer! Mille mercis à la Directrice de l'école Madame Soulière-Brown, pour cet accueil chaleureux provenant de cette magnifique petite école d'Ottawa.
