Friendship and Americas
Friendship
Friendship is harmony. Mutual harmony removes all dark conflicts. Each individual has opinions of his own, but when friendship becomes the connecting link between two persons, all conflicts are removed and they become one.
- Sri Chinmoy
Monument Valley in Utah
The route in the United States of America includes many landmarks, cities and national parks, and can bring hot days or stormy weather. Monument Valley is visited regularly by the Run.
"My team started our day with a very nice send-off from Leslie, who just happened to be standing outside her shop at our start point. As soon as I told her what we were doing, she immediately said "You give me hope that we can have a better world." It's meetings like these that also reinforce our own belief in the innate goodness of humanity. So thank you to Leslie for giving us such a happy start to our day." - runner from England
A Day in the Life of a World Harmony Runner
Each runner has many duties each day of the Run. The team splits into a few sections to cover the distance. When not running, they have other occupations: school ceremonies, school meetings, shopping, food preparation, internet report writing, photos, vehicle maintenance and just s importantly, maintaining harmony in a global team.
