iRun For Peace
I love to run for peace because I am very inspired by the works and wisdom of Sri Chinmoy, who said...
"May each and every individual each day have a new dream of world harmony."
"There shall come a time when this world will be flooded with peace. Who will bring about this redical change? It will be you and your sisters and brothers. You and you oneness-heart will spread peace throughout the length and breath of the world."
"Don't discuss, don't think, just do."
"Each moment is precious, extremely precious, far beyond our imagination."
"Do not waste your precious time. Every day try to make it a point to make real sense of your life."
"There is no such thing as the perfect moment. Each moment is perfect in its own way."
"The sun is shining everyday. Yet the minds of man remain unlit."
"There is only one way to be successful in life: Always look on the bright, brighter and brighest side of life."
"You and I create the world by the vibrations that we offer to the world."
"As there can be no war without the war mongers, even so, there can be no peace without the peace lovers."
"This world of ours has everything except one thing: peace. Everyone wants and needs peace whether he be a child or a octogenarian."
"A moment's truth, can and shall make the world beautiful. A moment's peace, can and shall save the world. A moment's love, can and shall make the world perfect."
"When I see the white wings of heaven, I am not impressed. When I see the dark wings of hell, I am not afraid. But when I see the red wings of humanity, I am very concerned."
~~~from the writings of Sri Chinmoy~~~
From time to time, I'd dedicate my running to peace. As I run, I try to remain in a good consciousness while offering my peaceful thoughts to the world. I imagine that the flame from the torch in my hand is like a sacred light spreading my goodwill to everyone and everything around me.
If you ever see me on the streets, just try to feel the light of peace shining from your heart. Light brings hope. Where there is light, darkness will be illumined. I strongly feels that this world of ours needs a lot of light in order for peace to become a living reality.
