Mexico 2 October: Ensenada
Our morning began with a large group of local Ensenada runners from Club Manas.
They carried the torch about two miles to Ensenada City Hall.
At City Hall we were offically welcomed by City Officals.
This family received our Torch-Bearer award for their service to the community.
Our first school was a kindergarten, Margarita Maza de Juarez.
Some of the local runners also joined us to share in the presentation of the World Harmony Run spirit.
La harmonia empieza conmigo means harmony begins with me!
One of our local supporters.
Arpan practices his Spanglish which is more English than Spanish.
The students love it when we ask the teachers to run a lap of the school yard with the torch.
Clapping along as we sing the World Harmony Run song.
Bansidhar enjoys a sea of harmony enthusiasm.
Samarthan joined us for a day from San Diego and led us into the second school.
With the help of Bansidhar, Homagni explains how to hop like a kangaroo...
...and here is the result - lots of fun that's for sure.
Our final school Colegio Fray Junipero Serra.
Olivia was busy confirming plans for our final day.
We were delighted to plant a tree at Instituo Municipal Deporte Recreation with Felipe Borrego
At the end of an unbeleivable week we passed the torch to a cartoon character.
Then we became fully immersed in Mexican culture - wearing sombreros.
At the end of the day we were treated to a truly remarkable sunset and rainbow.
