We left San Marino and headed westwards, crossing the Apennine mountains...

..this sounds quite easy, but 150 km over dozens of mountains is no joke. No surprise that we spent basically the whole day running and running...

Fortunately the beautiful nature of Italy paid off for the long run - we enjoyed every single km!

..from serene forrests, gentle hills to old villages - the countryside provided a wide range of impressions...

We reached Firenze! A group of runners from the G.S. Maiano awaited us at the entrance of Firenze and joined us on our way to the stadion.
