The Hungarian runners started their journey in Győr today, running with the torch through the beautiful Szigetköz and on to Bratislava, ready to rejoin the international team tomorrow.

A magyar futók Győrből felkerekedtek a fáklyával, hogy a gyönyörű Szigetközön keresztülfutva a második napon újra találkozzanak Pozsonyban a nemzetközi csapattal.

Many children from 22 schools accompanied us, running two routes through the city to the main ceremony in the heart of Győr, opposite City Hall.

22 iskolából sok gyerek csatlakozott hozzánk, és két útvonalon kísértek minket az ünnepség helyszínére a város szívében, szemben a városházával.

Major Zsolt Borkai greeted the runners there, and held the World Harmony Torch. Zsolt Borkai is also known for winning a gold medal in Mens Pommel Horse at 1988 Seoul Olympics.

Children from 10 schools performed on stage, giving really nice performances.

10 iskola készült fellépéssel, így nagyon sok szép fellépést és előadást láthattunk illetve hallhattunk.

We made a little quiz for the children. “Who said the correct number?” - “I did...” shouted all the children.

Csináltunk egy kis vetélkedőt a gyerekeknek. “Ki mondta a helyes számot?” - “Én...” kiáltotta az összes gyerek.

Naturally, everybody could hold the torch and make a wish for World Harmony.

Természetesen mindenki tarthatta a fáklyát, és kívánhatott valamit a világ harmóniájáért.

Today, good singers also became good runners and joined our team.

Ezen a napon a jó énekesek jó futókká váltak, és csatlakoztak a csapatunkhoz.

Our next stop was Győrújfalu. We received the greetings of Mayor József Bognár and then amazed the little children with the number of kilometres our team is going to run this year.

Következő állomásunk Győrújfalu volt. Bognár József polgármester úr köszöntése után, a kis gyerekek elámultak, hogy mennyi kilométert tesz meg a csapatunk ebben az évben.

They took a step with us and, after running, held the torch for precious moments. Deputy Mayor Miklós Sudár accompanied us for the whole two days, and showed us that he is a really good runner.

Miután tettek velünk néhány lépést, tartották a fáklyát néhány különleges pillanat erejéig. Sudár Miklós alpolgármester úr elkísért minket mind a két napon, és megmutatta, hogy valóban nagyszerű futó.

In Dunaszeg, we made a little circle in the school building and passed the flaming torch from hand to hand.

Dunaszegen egy kis kört alkottunk az iskola falain belül, és kézről-kézre adtuk az égő fáklyát.

All the children enjoyed holding the torch.

Minden gyerek örömmel tartotta a fáklyát.

With new determination, we ran to Ásványráró accompanied by young runners.

Új eltökéltséggel futottunk Ásványráróra, ahol fiatal futók csatlakoztak hozzánk.

This stop is Hédervár, where Mayor József Juhász greeted the runners, and invited us to the Árpád tree, which is the oldest tree in Hungary. According to legend, many, many hundreds of years ago Árpád, the great Hungarians leader tied his horse to this particular tree.

Ez az állomás Hédervár, ahol Juhász József polgármester úr üdvözölte a futókat, és meghívott minket az Árpád fához, mely a legidősebb fa Magyarországon. A legenda úgy tartja, hogy sok-sok évszázaddal ezelőtt Árpád fejedelem ehhez a bizonyos fához kötötte ki a lovát.

In Darnózseli, Mayor Zoltán Fazekas greeted us and provided some refreshments which all the runners enjoyed.
