Australia, 11 June: Sydney, NSW

The World Harmony Run Team visited Sydney Olympic Park today. As far as we know it was the first visit of a torch to this area since the Sydney Olympics in 2000. The runners took the torch to the warm-up track where many great athletes stretched out before competition in 2000.

Brad Pullen from the Sydney Olympic Park Triathlon Club joined the runners for a 400m around the track. Brad is coming back from a serious injury ( a broken arm) and aims to compete in the Sri Chinmoy Triple-Triathlon in November. All the best in your return to triathlon, Brad!

Louise Sauvage , Australia’s greatest Paralympian was inspired to hold the torch as she left the track. Louise is retired now and coaching many athletes including Angie Ballard, who also held the torch for world harmony.
