Anastasija Aleksejeva
By her own admission, "not being a particularly athletic person," Anastasija's running career was first inspired by the World Harmony Run in 2005, which she was co-ordinating in Latvia. Now for her, running is fun!
With a marathon experience and a number of shorter distance runs to her credit, she still keeps discovering what running has to offer. "I am truly grateful for the opportunity to become part of the great Australian Run and to it’s founder Mr. Sri Chinmoy who made it all possible," she says.
For her, it is "thrilling" to see how her two cherished dreams – becoming a team member of the Run in a continent other than Europe and to be able to experience the beauty of Australia – have blended into such a perfect possibility.
