USA 11 May: Cayucos - Julia Pfeiffer St. Pk.

Today our first stop was the Laureate School. The Laureate Motto: The World of Education Under One Roof. Thank you to Steve Caughey for organizing this event.

We like to play a game with the children where they have to guess what country we are from. If they get them all correct then we have to sing them a song, if not they have to sing us a song.

Devashishu tells the children that he comes from a country that if you go all the way to the eastern coast of America, and then take a boat keeping east you'll run into an island where he's from. The queen would greet you and you would drink lots of tea and then play cricket. Where is it...England!

Shyamala comes from a country where the men wear skirts and people play bagpipes. Where is it...Scotland!

Taking a moment to feel peace and harmony in the heart.

Singing the "World Harmony Run" song as well as "This Land is Your Land."

Sharing the torch and our hopes and aspirations for a more harmonious world is always a special feeling.

Running for Harmony.

Most of our running today was in beautiful coastal regions. We beheld spectacular vista after vista.

Two friends out standing in their field.

Some audiences are tougher than others. All we got here were grunts and groans.

Teekhnata finds her way to Harmony, a nice little town just north of Cayucos.

Palash has amply supplied the team with miles and smiles!

It was very hilly and quite cold when the winds came blasting in. I was alternatively hot and sweaty, and then freezing as the cold ocean breeze blew in.

Finishing our run at a beautiful vista outside of Big Sur.

We met Eric and Alec along the way up the coast. They were biking from San Francisco to Los Angeles "just for fun."

Thank you to Peppers in Pacific Grove for some of the best Mexican meals we've ever had! Your hospitality and enthusiasm for harmony is inspiring.
