USA 9 August: Woodford, VT - Hillsboro, NH

After waking up to this beautiful scene at the farm house, part of the team was slated to run to Brattleboro.

Arun and Julie were excellent hosts. It was very hard to leave.

We only managed to keep on the road with Arun's help. He came out to run "a couple of miles".

Well he ended up running 7! It was his first time running with the torch. We inspired each other. Thanks for a great visit!

Their boys promised to come run with us next time around.

As we finished in Wilmiington, Susan Lewis - owner of Hundredth Monkey Health Food & Holistic Store - greeted us with refreshments.

After Arun left us, we were so very fortunate to have Ken join us who had organized a local run into Brattleboro Commons with us.

Jen and her son Javon helped carry in the torch.

A few peace-lovers came out to join us.

Meanwhile the other half of our team relayed the torch from Kenneth Wilson State Park into Woodstock in upstate New York. Woodstock is a town that was very close to the heart of the founder Sri Chinmoy.

Congressman Hinchey was on hand to receive the torch and offered some very kind and encouraging words.

The village square in Woodstock.

We were delighted to meet Ashish Vermer who so kindly helped with arragements in New Orleans.

Passing the torch in Woodstock.

The choir singing the World Harmony Run song.

Parichayaka rejoined the team for the final run into New York.

Thank you so much to Thai Garden for offering a nice discount on a delicious Thai meal. We loved it!

Finally. a special thank you to Windsor Mountain for providing us with this beautiful group campsite.

It was absolutely picturesque!
