USA 2 April: Queens, New York City

PS 268 was our third stop today and boy did they have a program for us. Mulitcultural Coordinator, Ms. Diane Glover, really went out of her way to ensure the students understood the message of the World Harmony Run and the fact there is far more that unites us as a human family than divides us.

Vajra carried in the torch much to the delight of the awaiting student body.

The school had a choir which had learned the World Harmony Run song.

The was a fabulous dance performance representing harmony through movement.

These young ladies exemplified discipline and dedication to pull off a performance as good as this.

The was moving poetry and recitation - expressing what harmony means to each of us and how it finds expression in all fields of human endeavor.

We all tried to feel harmony in our hearts.

The beautiful banner served as an incredible backdrop for the ceremony.

Each student had a flag and was enthusiastic in answering any questions we had for them.

Our host, Principal Stewart, received the torch as well as our certificate of appreciation.

Then we ventured outside for a lap around the school block.

Everyone had a chance to touch the torch.

Thank you PS 268
