Sweden 13 August: Malung - Swedish-Norwegian border
Our last day in Sweden!
As we looked out of the window in the morning, the weather wasn't really encouraging as rain was pouring down, but as soon as we got on the road it started to clear up.
Our departure gift from Sweden was a beautiful sunny day! As we moved further west, the landscape changed slightly, to more mountain-like vegetation.
Our route led us through magical forests with clear lakes and rivers; an absolutely remote place with a mystic touch.
Some hill-work...
Out of the blue, journalists showed up for interviews and people stopped to learn about the Run.
Just a sign, no more Swedish moose...
In the middle of nowhere we had a nice meeting with a radio reporter, who even ran with us.
Finally, we reached the Swedish-Norwegian border. It was time to say goodbye to Sweden! We will really miss the beautiful nature experiences and all the friendly people we met along the road!
This day is also the last day for our present team, as the Run will take a well-deserved 2-week break; the Run will continue from Iceland, commencing August 31st!
Thanks to everybody and see you soon with new adventures from the road!
