Sweden 9 August: Östersund - Rätansbyn

Today was moose day! We finally saw seven! So this is a moose special.

After leaving from the city hall in Östersund, we had a small ceremony at the Moose Garden in Orrviken.

The owner welcomed us and gave us a guided tour. They have four small ones, and three grown-up moose there.

We even tasted some moose milk, a really special drink.

We were feeding the small ones!

"Helge", a big moose.

The moose are extremely fast - they can run up to 70 kilometres per hour! Only when you get close to them, do you realise how big they actually are. A big bull can weigh over 800 kilos!

If you ever come to Orrviken, pay a visit to the Moose Garden!

After this nice meeting, we continued on southwards. Many people asked about the Run; the Swedish people are really friendly. Every few kilometres a car stopped and the people took a picture!

A radio interview, live from the road.

In the evening we reached Rätansbyn, today's goal.
