Singapore 5 February

On our last day in the "Lion City" we visited two schools:

At the Mayflower Primary School we were greeted by the Principal, Mr. Zainal who led us into the main hall where 900 kids had gathered.

They sang the national anthem and the school hymn for us, and we followed this with our WHR presentation.

The principal gave a touching speech, especially pointing out the founder of the Run, Sri Chinmoy as an example of how much difference one single person can make in the world.

All the kids got a chance to hold the torch!

We were invited for snacks, while some children interviewed us for their school magazine, which is part of their school program to develop the capacities of the children in different fields.

We received lovely gifts, and as a farewell treat some kids performed a traditional Indian dance for us.

We went on to "Kids Ville", a very nice Kindergarten. The Executive Director, Mr. Tanigan had organised a special welcome for us, which included a banner featuring children's footprints.

The kids performed for us and more snacks were served.

As we left the Kindergarten, the kids just would not stop waving and cheering!

In the evening we left for Malaysia, hoping to return next year for another great experience in Singapore!

We would like to thank our hosts for their hospitality and their enthusiasm!

Goodbye Singapore, see you next year!
