Czech Republic 2 October: Telc - Ceske Budejovice

The ceremonial start of the day was held on the main square of the UNESCO Heritage town Telč.

Mayor Mr.Roman Fabeš together with several dozens children joined runners in short run to the outskirt of the town.

A great surprise was a bunch of schoolchildren waiting for us outside of the town Kunžak. Dressed in school sport t-shirts and with real enthusiasm, they were running with torch at least 3 km the town center.

There was our team warmly welcomed by Mayor Mr. Jaroslav Čapek and by probably all children from the local school.

One of the main events of the day was in the town Jindřichův Hradec. All local schools participated by dispatching running teams that were passing the torch to each other through the whole city.

A very nice ceremony took part on the historical square where Mayor Mr. Karel Matoušek, Ms. Jitka Čechová, a Head of the Department of Education, who organized the event, and many children of all ages welcomed the international team and the idea of the World Harmony Run.

The Mayor in the lead of children departing after the end of the ceremony.

Our next stop was in small town Stráž nad Nežárkou where we had a short program with local children and Mayor Ms. Věra Tomšová

In the town Třeboň, we met some historical figures who came from ancient times to take part in the run for world harmony.

The final part of today’s journey ran trough beautiful nature sites of the Southern Bohemia until the destination, the city České Budějovice.

Again another great day over!
