The overnight rain cleared and provided perfect running weather. We visited four wonderful schools today with spirited and enthusiastic students and also had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Fred Gilbert President of Lakehead University .

La pluie de la nuit passée a fait place à un temps parfait pour courir. Nous avons visité quatre merveilleuses écoles aujourd'hui et y avons rencontré des étudiants enthousiastes et pleins d'entrain, ainsi que Dr. Fred Gilbert, Président de l'Universté Lakehead.

followed by St. John Catholic School. At both events, after a fun presentation in the gym, students made their wish for world harmony and walked or ran around the school grounds.

At the third school, Algonquin Avenue Public School, the sun shone on our outdoor event and the children performed a most beautiful and colourful circle dance for us.

À la troisième école, "l'Algonquin Avenue Public School", c'est à l'extérieur et sous un soleil radieux que les enfants ont pu exécuter pour nous une dance en cercle tout fait ravissante et colorée.

Our final school in Thunder Bay was St. Margaret’s Catholic School where the students cheerfully braved the brief light rain to run outside. We were thrilled to hear students sing the World harmony run song at several of the schools.The friendliness of the Thunder Bay students we met echoed the warm welcome we received everywhere in this city.

Notre dernière école à Thunder Bay a été l'École "St. Margaret's Catholic School, où les étudiants ont joyeusement brave une pluie légère pour aller courir dehors. Nous avons été ravis et honorés d'entendre les étudiants chanter la chanson-thème de la CHM lors de notre visite dans plusieurs écoles. La cordialité que nous ont offerte les étudiants de Thunder Bay faisait écho au chaleureux accueil que nous avons reçu partout ailleurs dans cette ville.

Our final event was at Lakehead University where we met a group of students involved in track and field and other sports. We ran with these fit and friendly youth to meet the President of the University, Dr. Fred Gilbert who welcomed us and shared his words on world harmony.

Notre dernier événement s'est déroulé à l'Universté Lakehead, où nous avons rencontré un groupe d'étudiants athlétiques. Nous avons couru avec cette jeunesse en forme et amicale pour aller rencontrer le Directeur de l'Université, Dr. Fred Gilbert, qui a partagé avec nous quelques mots sur l'harmonie mondiale.

As we left Thunder Bay on our way to Marathon, the skies darkened and the rain started, providing us with an exciting journey. In Nippigon, gas stations were without power, slowing us down considerably. Later in the drive we saw a spectacular rock fall on the road.

En quittant Thunder Bay pour nous diriger vers Marathon, le ciel s'est couvert et la pluie a commencé à tomber, rendant ce voyage des plus palpitant. À Nippigon, toutes les stations d'essence étaient temporairement fermées dû à une panne d'électricité; ce qui a ralenti notre voyage considérablement. Plus tard, nous avons été témoins d'une avalanche de roches spectaculaire sur la route.

Marathon's Zero One Hundred Motor Inn was such a quaint and sweet place to stay. Super friendly staff too! A special thank you to you all for your northern hospitality and generosity in providing our team with a complimentary room for the evening in Marathon Ontario.
