Austria 30 September: Innsbruck - Kitzbühel

A big "Thank You"to the Hotel Happ, the Hotel Karwendel and the Penz Hotel in Innsbruck for hosting our runners!

...Hotel Happ...

...Hotel Karwendel...

...the Penz Hotel...

...a cloudy morning in Innsbruck...

..we started the day in front of the "golden roof" - or "Goldenes Dachl", as the Tyrolians say...

...the "golden roof" is the landmark of Innsbruck...

Tyrol is famous for it's painted and well decorated houses...

...the river Inn had an extremely high water level due to the rain over the last days...

...we met many joggers on our run along the river, most of them from foreign cuntries...

...we reached Hall in Tirol, a very old settlement. Hall is famous for it's salt mining since many centuries.

Deputy mayor Mrs. Klocker gave us a warm welcome...

...and a very interresting tour through the history of Hall as well. Here we were in the traditional, original hall of the city council...

...and a short, symbolic run. Thank you for the warm welcome!

...in Schwaz we were received by a member of the city council , the city representative for sport and representatives from various religious groups...

...officially we passed the torch to the city of Schwaz...

..Schwaz is dating back into the 13th century and was for some time the second largest settlement in the monarchy, due to its famous silver mine...

Thank you for the nice meeting!

...it started to rain as we approached Wörgl...

...just as we reached Wörgl the rain stoped and the city representative for sport welcomed us!

Thank you for the nice meeting!

We ended the day with an inspiring run to one of Austria's most famous skiing places: Kitzbühel!
