"Julio Verne School"  welcomed the World Harmony Run in the southern most city of the world.

La Escuela Julio Verne dio la bienvenida a la Carrera por la Armonía Mundial en la ciudad más austral del mundo.

A presentation by Mrs Maria Ramonet was made at the philosophy workshop and all classes participated. Children discussed on the values related to harmony and peace -generosity, truth, understanding, justice, nature. They also studied the life of Sri Chinmoy, the founder of the World Harmony Run.

La profesora María Ramonet hizo una presentación en el taller de filosofía y todos los cursos participaron. Los niños dialogaron sobre los valores relacionados con la armonía y la paz -generosidad, verdad, entendimiento, justicia, naturaleza. También investigaron sobre la vida de Sri Chinmoy, el fundador de la Carrera por la Armonía Mundial.

The Harmony Torch along with the WHR banner supporting the International Year of Forests was introduced to children.

Los niños vieron por primera vez la Antorcha de Armonía y la pancarta internacional que apoya el Año Internacional de los Bosques.

Mrs Cynthia Cordi, Headteacher of Julio Verne School and Mrs Maria Ramonet, Philosophy teacher, were given a World-Harmony painting called ´Jharna-Kala´by Sri Chinmoy because of their significant work in building harmony in their school.

La profesora Cynthia Cordi, Directora de la Escuela Julio Verne y la profesora María Ramonet, de Filosofía, recibieron una pintura para la Armonía Mundial llamada ´Jharna-Kala´ hecha por Sri Chinmoy por la significativa labor de ambas en la construcción de la armonía en su escuela.

"Mrs Cynthia and Mrs Maria were kindly given some of Sri Chinmoy´s books.

Las señoras Cynthia y Maria recibieron con agrado algunos libros de Sri Chinmoy."

The World Harmony Run proudly supports the International Year of Youth (IYY) and the International Year of Forests (IYF) proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly.

See the recent Youtube video on African experience which illustrates IYY slogan "Our Year Our Voice"  International Year of Youth - Zambia World Harmony. They surprisingly mention Presidents and UN Secretary-General in a unique way!
