Our morning began meeting Sister Madonna - a remarkable nun who still competes in Ironman Triathlons, at the age of 82.

We first met sister Madonna when she very kindly attended our opening ceremony in New York in 2008 and we had the opportunity to present her with the Torch-Bearer Award.

She led us through Spokane's beautiful park system as we headed east.

Sukhajata from New Zealand had no trouble chewing up the miles in "Big Sky Country."

Meanwhile the rest of the team had the good fortune of stopping in at the Human Rights Education Institute in Coeur d'Alene.

We were honored to meet and share some time with this remarkable organization and learn about their pioneering efforts.

Soon we were back on the road.

The City of Sandpoint Parks & Rec in conjunction with Bonner County Human Rights Task Force provided us with a wonderful potluck dinner - thanks to all the generous hearts of the Sandpointers who supplied the delicious food.

We were honored to be able to present Kym with the Torch-Bearer award. As you can see Kym has been carrying the Torch in Sandpoint since 1987 - he got a T-shirt in 1989.

We figured it might be time for Kym to get another T-shirt - so we gave him an updated one.

We stopped by the Statue of Liberty for a quick shot and no-one managed to fall in.

Some of the local kids wanted a piece of the action.

Then a barbershop quartet showed up from a rehearsal of an upcoming musical Music Man - they were wonderful.

We didn't get any miles out of their legs though.

Jackie Henrion (backing up from '08 and '10) was in charge of entertainment.

We hear from Kym that this woman is really in charge of Sandpoint Parks and Recreation.

Everyone was part of the action.

Moni entertained us with a famous Czech song from 1968.

This young lady stopped by and sang a most heartfelt song.

Salil sang a rendition of Row, Row Row Your Boat using new words -

Run, Run, Run for peace, all around the coast.

Harmony, Harmony, Harmony, Harmony, it's what we want the most.

Which apparently he got from some Irish children back in 2009.

Daulot shared his budding banjo prowess.

The crowd is enthralled.

We ate.
