USA 2 June: Flagstaff, AZ - Valentine, AZ

TODAY IN ARIZONA.....

Dzmitry from Belarus tamed the fierce Buffalo of the wild Mojave desert

Meanwhile, two of our team finally discovered where Elvis has been hiding all along...

A passersby wielded the torch with a hop, skip and a jump...

For some it was a perfect photo op...

Shobhavati's sister Harita has been with the team since Santa Fe. She is a vegetarian chef from Christchurch, New Zealand

Shobhavati and Harita stumble across the world's largest collection of Post-It Notes

Ah...it feels good to be back on Route 66

Local folks make a big deal out of Route 66 because it's the 'Mother Road', one of the oldest and longest highways in America

Angel Delgadillo, the gentleman in this picture, is an enthusiastic preserver of Route 66 as an historic piece of Americana for those who want to experience the country's heritage.

This kind man offered two burritos from his Mexican food shop in Kingman to our hungry runners

We can't say enough about Chili's in Kingman, the manager Patricia and her entire staff who got totally into the spirit of the event. They shouted the whole team free salad and pasta....wholesome and delicious. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We think KOA Flagstaff is A-OK, for giving us a campsite two nights in a row
