USA 13 August: Boston, MA - Millville, RI

We were warmly welcomed to Dedham Community Center by a very excited and artistic group of children.

Our team captain, Yuyudhan, captivates the children with some exciting tales about Minnesota.

"Really, Minnesota!" the children said.

The kids were all over the clues we gave for our states and countries. A real sharp bunch!

After passing the torch and sharing wishes for harmony in the world we were on our way to Wrentham where...

Madeline Champagne awaited us at the commons with an amazing lunch. She had heard about the run in a round about way through Arpan and really wanted to support us some how."What if I make the team lunch?" she said. We said "Fanatastic!!!" Thank you so much Madeline!

Our good friend Khipra Nichols awaited us in Rhode Island, so we had to stay on the move.

Another long time friend of the run joined for about 12 miles today.

Brian is always a joy to run with and keeps us on a good pace.We hope he comes out to join us every time we come through.

Our first stop was in Pawtucket where we ran across the Sri Chinmoy Peace Bridge to meet the Family YMCA. Mayor James Doyle was able to meet with the kids, but had to leave before the torch arrived. We appreciate his visit.

Cumberland Mayor Daniel J Mckee came out to cheer us on as we crossed another Sri Chinmoy Peace Bridge.

For his long time support, we offered him a special print by the founder of the run, Sri Chinmoy.

Arpan, 2006 team captain, met us in Providence. He was quite excited about running with us tomorrow.

Finally, we met with Providence Mayor Representative Serena Conley. She read a very nice proclamation for the run and then...

took a few laps around the fountain with the torch. Thank you Deb Dormindy - Activities Coordinator for Greater Kenedy Plaza - for arranging such a nice meeting. Thank you Rhode Island for your wonderful support. It was great to see so many public officials supportive of harmony and peace.

Thank you so much to the Cedar Park Inn and Suites for giving the team such a generous discount. We really enjoyed our stay.
