USA 27 July: Galesburg, MI - Dexter, MI

Special thanks o the Comfort Inn for a wonderful nights accommodation.

We were honored to meet with Mayor Mark Behnke who kindly welcomed us to Battle Creek and presented us with a key to the city.

Jirka from the Czech Republic presents the torch to Battle Creek Mayor Mark Behnke.

Enroute to Marshall Salil came across a Rodney Beckom and his son Princeton out on a bike ride. They cycled along beside us for a while sharing their encouragement and enthusiasm.

Mayor Bruce Smith of Marshall took time out to meet us as we ran through town.

Marshall has a beautiful fountain (in the background) it wasn't running as it is currently being refurbished.

Some of the Marshall towns folk.

These cyclists met us on the way into Battle Creek and then again in Marshall - thanks for your encouragement.

The town of Marshall in the mid-west of America is home to the Honolulu House Museam proved to be an irresistible attraction for our team-mate from the Islands. Apprently one of the towns prominent citizens served as a liaison to Hawaii before it took on statehood. Upon returning to Marshall the gentleman so missed the islands he created his own portion of Hawaii in Marshall.

Pearl, the museum’s curator and originally from the Big Island of Hawaii, gave Maui boy Bansidhar the royal tour and reminisced about their tropical Home.

This junior Olympic track team happened to be staying at our hotel and were delighted to hear about our run.

Ten year old Essence has record track times as well as the brightest smile! A winning combination!

Yet another delicious World Harmony Run team meal.

Putrima was happy to be re-united with her old university friends Igor and Elena.
