USA 9 July: Miles City, MT - Rhame, ND
We wish to dedicate today’s page to the fine athletes that presently make up the women’s team of this year’s American Relay . These young ladies from around the globe are shining examples of the World Harmony Run Spirit. They are always cheerful, self-giving and enthusiastically cover all those long miles. Some of them will be returning home soon, and we just wanted to say…Thank you. It was our joy to have you on the team. Come again!
My name is Shyamala Stott and I come from Edinburgh Scotland. I am lucky enough to be running with the torch for all of it’s four month journey around America. It is an amazing experience that I am extremely grateful for and I am wondering how I lived without it since I last ran it in 1999!
Thank you to the breathtaking scenery and the beautiful hearts of all the people we meet. You make it such a joy to run everyday carrying your hopes and dreams for Harmony in this world.
My name is Blanka Pernika and I live in Usetin in the Czech Republic. Two years ago I participated in the Harmony Run in Iceland and I liked it so much that I decided join the U.S. Run from Seattle to Rapid City. I wanted to discover another part of America other than New York City ,where I have visited before.
I have found America to be a country full of nice people and beautiful Nature.
My name is Kaveri Krutilkova and I come from the little town of Roznov p.R. in the Czech Republic. I am very grateful for the opportunity to be on the U.S World Harmony Run. It has been a really wonderful experience to explore a part of America and to meet so many nice people.
The nicest experience was meeting the kids at Summer Camps and The Boys and Girls Clubs. Children are so joyful and enthusiastic and they gave me a lot of inspiration.
I had a really great time with the Harmony Run Team, with my friends from all over the world and I hope I can come back again!
My name is Charubala and I joined the team in Seattle. I come from Australia and there is nothing better I could think of doing than running across a gorgeous country meeting fantastic people. It always amazes me that no matter where we go in the world we are all wanting in the same thing: peace and happiness in ourselves.
When people hold the torch, the flame seems to reignite this yearning within and to give encouragement and hope. These precious moments I will always hold sacred to my heart.
By having this opportunity of meeting so many wonderful people along the way, it brings home the fact that we are all truly one big family. Thank you.
My name is Abhejali Bernardova and I am originally from Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic and I have been living in Zlin for the past decade. It has been my dream for many years to take part in the U.S. World Harmony Run and it has finally come true! While running over these past days, it has always been coming to my mind that next time I definitely want to come for at least a month!
Participating in The Run has been a great way of spending my vacation. Maybe this is hard to believe, but it’s true! I highly recommend it to everyone who wants to meet new people, visit new places and feel Harmony within oneself. Thank you to everyone and especially to Sri Chinmoy for this beautiful vision!
This has been a really fulfilling experience of my life and I am looking forward to the European Part of the Run that is coming to my country at the end of September. Everyone is Welcome!
Sitting on a bail of hay.
Teamwork with smiling cheer.
If there are horses in Nairobi then why not Zebra's in Montana.
Blazej receives a shirt on his last day with the team. His good humor, blinding smile, strong legs and general bravado will be greatly missed. It was great to have a coordinator (Blazej did Montana) on the team with us through the area he coordinated.
Deepra, our donkey whisperer / harmony runner extraordinaire. But...does our furry little friend from Montana speak Russian?
A parade of cows.
Goodnight and goodbye, Montana.
