Just Keep Digging!
Today we had a little ceremony in Mancos. Michelle (vice mayor of Mancos), Amy and Tom were waiting for us at the Community Center. They had prepared food and cold drinks for us. When I asked Amy what she is doing she told me that she is an archeologist. I asked her what was the best thing that she had ever found. She told me when she was 15 it happened, that she went with a group to dig for ancient things.
While everybody else got ready to go out at night, Amy stayed in the place and kept on digging.
It turned out that she found two little boxes with nice paintings. There are only four of them ever to be found in the whole world. Amy found two of them. I liked this story a lot, because it reminded me of my own life. Just keep digging!!!
Thank you Amy! Good luck with your business.
Thank you Michelle and Tom!

In the wonderful desert town of Cortez, we were greeted by Mayor Orley Lucero. He was very hospitable and even brought us some cold drinks. Spending some time with him, we realized that not only does he help to run the town with little or no pay, but he runs a small construction business as well. Seeing someone like Orley working so hard to make the town a better place to live and then going out of his way to greet us in the middle of a busy day really warmed our hearts.
Finishing our incredibly scenic run in Bluff, Utah, we were so kindly treated to drinks and desserts at the Twin Rocks Café by the kind owner and manager, Craig Simpson and his wife Kathy. With high speed wireless internet access and great food and friendly service, our whole team was able to check out the latest updates and send these new stories and photos as well.
Anyone who visits Bluff and this magical area of Utah has to go to the Twin Rocks Café. It is the best thing happening around here along with Craig’s family’s place next door, called the Twin Rocks Trading Post.
Craig just told me that his sister Cindy Tumeh and her husband Amer, are the owners of the Desert Rose Inn of Bluff where we are spending the night. Cindy was very kind to offer us four rooms to stay in as we recover from a long, hot day running in the high desert.
It is almost impossible to describe the magical quality of this part of the southwest, but with the almost unearthly geographical formations and the friendly and hospitable people everywhere we go, we are very encouraged that harmony in nature and our fellow human beings is always ready to manifest and spread its wings to raise the consciousness of our planet to greater heights everyday.
We would like to end by offering a great welcome to our friend and kind supporter of the World Harmony Run, Baliyan, who joined us today and will run with us for four days. We wish he could spend more time with us, but his goodwill and support along with his family are helping to carry us all throughout this vast land.
