Today's journey started at an elementary school, 'De Hazesprong' school in Nijmegen. Well over a hundred kids were gathered in the schoolyard to participate in our presentation.

Onze dagetappe vandaag begon bij basisschool 'De Hazesprong' in Nijmegen. Meer dan honderd kinderen waren verzameld op het schoolplein voor onze presentatie.

Many kids were dressed in orange - the Dutch national colour - in support of today's World Cup soccer match, Holland versus Slovakia.

Veel kinderen waren in het oranje gestoken voor de WK wedstrijd vandaag tegen Slowakije.

One of the children is an excellent breakdancer.

Here we are at the second school in Nijmegen, the Montessorischool Dukenburg. This is actually where I went to school as a kid. It was great to be back after 21 years!

Hier zijn we bij de tweede school in Nijmegen, de Montessorischool Dukenburg. Dit is waar ik vroeger zelf op school heb gezeten. Het was leuk om terug te zijn na meer dan 21 jaar!

The children sure loved our World Harmony Run stamps!

De kinderen waren gek van onze World Harmony Run stempels.

From Nijmegen we ran to Arcen, a town famous for its special castle gardens. Here we're crossing the moat for a visit to the gardens.

Van Nijmegen renden we naar Arcen, waar de beroemde kasteeltuinen liggen. Hier steken we de slotgrand over voor een bezoek aan de tuinen.

Rob Rambags from the castle gardens received us and proudly held the Torch.

Rob Rambags ontving ons namens de kasteeltuinen en hield de fakkel trots omhoog.

Janneke Kennis from the castle gardens also held the Torch and wished us all the best.

Ook Janneke Kennis van de kasteeltuinen nam de fakkel in ontvangst en wenste ons alle succes.

And the management of the gardens was kind enough to offer us a free lunch. It was truly delicious!

Het management van de kasteeltuinen bood ons heel vriendelijk een gratis lunch aan. Het was heerlijk!

Our run today finished in the town of Roermond, where we visited 'Kai in Sho' judo club.

Onze dagetappe eindigde vandaag in Roermond, waar we een bezoek brachten aan judoclub 'Kai in Sho'.

The club is operated by charismatic judo teacher Nol Hofman, a really warm-hearted, generous and self-giving person. He has taught judo for over 20 years, always on a voluntary basis. The children really adore him, as he is a real father to them.

De club wordt gerund door de charismatische judoleraar Nol Hofman, een hartverwarmende, gulle en zelf-gevende persoon. Hij heeft meer dan 20 jaar judoles gegeven en altijd op vrijwillige basis. De kinderen zijn dol op hem en hij is als een vader voor ze.

Nol Hofman helped this little girl, Dawn, to get a special lift in her school so she can easily go to all her classes. He held a 24-hour judo marathon to raise the necessary money for it. In honour of all the good things he is doing for the community we offered him our Torch Bearer Award. The award was given by Dawn herself. Nol Hofman was visibly moved and could not hold back his tears.

Nol Hofman hielp dit kleine meisje Dawn om een speciale lift te krijgen in haar school, zodat ze makkelijk naar al haar klassen kon. Om het geld bij elkaar te krijgen hield hij een non-stop judomarathon van 24 uur. Voor alle goede dingen die hij voor de gemeenschap heeft gedaan boden wij hem onze Torch Bearer Award aan. Dawn zelf overhandigde de medaille en Nol was zichtbaar ontroerd en kon zijn tranen niet bedwingen.
