Tuesday 22 June: 60km Chalkidonia - Evzoni

Today we ventured on our last day of running in sunny Greece. After a sturdy breakfast we set off from Chalkidonia running through undulating grassy landscapes towards the border-town, Evzoni. It was a hot day with clear skies, relieved by the occasional breeze.

On leaving Greece would like to thank our wonderful and self-giving country coordinator, George, who has provided us with lodgings and food, and generally kept everything in super-excellent-top-form! Thank you!

And we would also like to express our sincere gratitude to the fantastic Police of Greece for all their service, guidance, kindness, enthusiasm and patience. They accompanied us from the very start of our journey in Patras all the way up to the border in Evzoni. We were all deeply impressed! Thank you once again Police of Greece.
