England 8 March: Newcastle - Helmsley

Another busy morning, and it's school time again. We started in Newcastle in the St Albans Primary School.

Lots of enthusiastic kids guessing our home countries...

...hmm...this one's a tricky one!

New team members passing the torch around.

...let me offer a wish for Harmony!

..a map in the playground to help us on our way..

...a desperate attempt to control the children...

...and they're off!

Happy torch-bearers.

Newcastle is a real pearl in the northern part of England...

Next was the St. Lawrence Primary School. A nice presentation and bright children...

Messages of peace and harmony.

..and a group picture...

...an unusual unhappy runner...

A meeting on the road.

In the late afternoon we reached the North Yorkshire Moors. Lots of hill climbs, but well worth it for the stupendous views of the gorgeous countryside.

Still running as the sunset approaches...

Treating us to a lovely downhill run into the evening colours. Even passing through at running pace is too quick for this scenery!
