United Arab Emirates 13 January: Dubai

Dubai is really an extraordinary city: besides being one of the world's largest construction-sites it houses numerous places of interest, one of which is definitely the skiing facility in the Mall of the Emirates!

A photo-shoot at the skiing centre turned into a historic snowball-fight!

So much for harmony....

Our first meeting today brought us back to the Indian High School, but this time to a different location.

Tapan, our Indian friend from the school, picked us up in the morning with the school bus!

Almost 1,000 kids lined up for us!

A young girl addressed the assembly and read out nice words about peace and harmony!

As we had enough time available, all the kids got a chance to pass the torch!

As well as the teachers...

Shining faces everywhere...

While the torch passing went on, we invited the kids to ask questions about the Run and to give statements about harmony!

Usually one of the highlights is when all the teachers are running!

The kids ran group by group: very disciplined but no shortage of enthusiasm!

Many thanks to the Indian High School for the warm welcome!

We did some sightseeing in the afternoon...

Rasul, our taxi driver from Pakistan, explores our WHR brochure...

The sightseeing trip ended at one of the most famous landmarks in Dubai: Burj al Arab - better known as the "sailing ship"!
