Germany 28 May: Berlin
Today was a real "school day"!
In the morning we went to Zeuthen, a town close to Berlin, to visit the primary school "Grundschule am Wald".
When we arrived, 550 kids were already waiting, and greeted us enthusiastically. The mayor welcomed us and the kids performed some nice songs and a funny dance for us.
The mayor carried the torch out of the school...
The school was well prepared for the World Harmony Run; all the performances were really excellent.
Finally, the kids all passed the torch and some athletes from the school carried the torch out of Zeuthen.
A Trabi, a famous East German car...
Back in Berlin we went to the primary school "Europaschule Berlin-Mitte".
The World Harmony Run conquers the Berlin Wall!
After a great reception we went on to the primary school "Heinrich Roller Grundschule". This school was getting ready to organise a fun Olympic event and we started it with the torch!
Our last school today was the "Waldorfschule Berlin-Mitte Hort". The school performed an musical arrangement for us; the kids were excellent singers!
We played soccer with the kids and they defeated us 1:0!
Special thanks to the management of the Indian restaurant "Moghul", who invited us for dinner there!
