Germany 8 July: Altheim - Odelzhausen

This morning we got up really relaxed after a comfortable sleep and enjoyed a huge breakfast, both sponsored by the ibis Hotel in Ulm . After days and days on the road we were very grateful for that, and say a big Thank You.

The weather was fine and it looked like we were heading into a perfect running day, so Annemijn and Elke enjoyed a nice chat on the road.

Andi is the nephew of one of the German coordinators; it was his first day on the World Harmony Run, so he had to examine the torch very carefully.

Some of our friends had come all the way down from Berlin to be on the road with us for the weekend, contributing thousands of steps for harmony.

The beauty of nature also inspired us and offered us fresh energy all along the way.

The area we ran through was quite varied - fields and meadows alternated with dense forest.

These senior citizens of Neusäß were very interested in our project.

When we ran through Augsburg, heaven opened its gates and showered refreshing rain on us.

During a tasty meal at the Cosmos Heart Café in Augsburg we could stretch our legs and share all our experiences of the day.

The Roman emperor Augustus ruled over a long period of peace. As he is also the founder of Augsburg, he became the patron of the city. On our way to our overnight accommodation, we paid him a respectful visit.
