Canada 1 October: Rosetown - Maple Creek
This morning we drove from Rosetown to the border of Saskatchewan Landing Provincial Park where we started our run.
Beautiful, isn’t it ! ?
RCMP Officer Clifton Dunn and his partner stopped on their way to meet us on the way.
We love the Saskatchewan horses …
Satisfied after running up a steep and long hill.
Gautumi being interviewed along the way.
In the city of Swift Current we visited Oman Elementary School.
Deputy Mayor of Swift Current, Stacey Ellertson and Vice Principal Leanne Marchand holding the torch.
And the children …
… making their wishes for harmony.
The run to our tonight’s “home” which was offered to us by Days Inn in Medicine Hat was very sunny and dusty.
TEAM B
This morning's journey took us through Saskatchewan Landing Provincial Park, a beautiful parkland with unique topological features.
Short on houses and people nevertheless it was a great run.
Our destination was Swift Current where we were to meet two new team members, and send a car back to Saskatchewan. Today Team B's running is almost all across prairie.
Maple Creek was our final ceremony today and we had a 3 km run around the town with students from Maple Creek Composite High School.
The Harmony Run is very grateful to teacher Dave Russell for helping organise the run around Maple Creek.
The ladies united for harmony.
Mayor of Maple Creek, Anne Weisgerber welcomed the runners to the western edge of Saskatchewan.
All together - Harmony in Maple Creek
New Maple Creek team members Dave and Anne accustom themselves to holding the torch. Many thanks.
