Our first visit today was to Columbia Elementary School in Yorkton. We made our presentation in the gym where the walls were covered with colorful art created by students around the theme of harmony. After singing O Canada, the school choir led us all in singing a beautiful song called "Friendship Never Fades". The students had written this song earlier in the year with the help of a professional songwriter. A few students, selected as torch bearers, led everyone in a short walk outside. We thank Principal Teneycke and his students for their enthusiasm, their good will and for making us feel so welcome.

Aujourd'hui notre première visite a été à l'École "Columbia Elementary School" de Yorkton. Nous avons présenté notre cérémonie dans un gymnase aux murs couverts par les oeuvres d'art très colorés des élèves sur le thème de l'Harmonie. Après avoir chanté l'hymne national "O Canada", la chorale de l'école nous a tous invités à chanter "Friendship Never Fades". Les élèves avaient composé cette chanson plus tôt durant l'année avec l'aide d'un compositeur professionnel. Quelques élèves sélectionnés pour porter le flambeau, ont dirigé une courte marche à l'extérieur. Nous remercions le Directeur de l'école, M. Teneycke et ses élèves pour leur enthousiasme, leur bonne volonté et l'accueil chaleureux.

Next we relayed the torch to Churchbridge Public School where we participated in a short ceremony and passed the torch around the student body. It was uplifting to observe the children's sincere wishes for friendship and love.

Nous avons ensuite relayé le flambeau à l'École "Churchbridge Public School", où nous avons participé à une courte cérémonie où les élèves ont tenu le flambeau tour à tour. C'était inspirant d'observer et d'entendre les enfants exprimer avec tant de sincérité leurs voeux d'amitié et d'amour.

On the outskirts of Langenburg we met the dynamic Langenburg High School track team. We ran together at a speedy pace to the school where students and staff lined up to cheer us on during their lunch hour!

C'est en périphérie de Langenburg que nous avons rencontré la dynamique équipe d'athlètes de l'École "Langenburg High School". Nous avons couru rapidement jusqu'à leur école où les étudiants et le personnel s'étaient placés en file pour nous recevoir et nous encourager pendant leur heure de diner!

They provided us with encouraging words under a crystal blue sky on the warm sunny day.

Ils nous ont octroyé des mots d'encouragement sous un ciel bleu et ensoleillé.

Ice cream was the final treat of the day.

Couronnons la journée avec de la crème glacée!

Relaying in the town of Minnedosa was so pleasant. We were now in MANITOBA and the sun was still shining and there were many sights to see. We stopped in front of the town office to meet with a cheerful Town Councilor named Garry MacDowall. He expressed his gratitude to all the World Harmony Runners around the world. Donning a World Harmony Run t-shirt, he held the torch and wished for a world of more peace and fewer conflicts.

Relayer le flambeau dans la ville de Minnedosa était tellement agréable. Puis nous sommes arrivés au MANITOBA, le soleil brillait toujours et il y avait beaucoup à voir. Nous nous sommes arrêtés en face de l'Hôtel de Ville pour rencontrer le Conseiller , Garry MacDowall. Il a offert sa gratitude à tous les coureurs de la CHM à travers le monde. Vêtu d'un chandail de la CHM, il a tenu le flambeau et exprimé ses voeux d'un monde meilleur avec plus de paix et moins de conflits.
