We ran today and were joined by local long distance runner, a 14 year old boy, who was an inspiring and confident addition to the team.

After Maarten and Nadina Schaddelee joined us at the inaugural ceremonies Sunday, they invited us to their fine art sculpture studio perched on a magnificent stretch of island coast. Along with playful and passionate marble features, the Schaddelees' studio, called Maarnada, houses a modern day masterpiece of spiritual art. A 16-panelled doorway to an inner chamber showcases 16 world religions in glorious colour and detail. Schaddelee explains that a seeking human spirit can walk though any one of the doors to access a relationship with God. Check out this friend of the run at www.maarnada.ca .

Alors que nous courions, nous avons été rejoints par un coureur de longue distance de 14 ans, résident de l'endroit. Il fut une inspiration et un solide encouragement à l'équipe.

Victoria’s Mayor Alan Lowe helped us kick off our beautiful day with kind words in support of the World Harmony Run, noting that Victoria is symbolically and literally placed at the beginning of Harmony and never at the end.

Students from the University of Victoria and Camosun College were enthusiastic in welcoming the torch and sharing some of their thoughts with the World Harmony Run team.

Le maire de Victoria Alan Lowe nous a aidé à démarrer cette belle journée avec ses mots d'encouragement pour la Course de l'harmonie mondiale, nous faisant remarquer que Victoria est symboliquement et physiquement placée au début de l'Harmonie et jamais à la fin.

Les étudiants de l'Université de Victoria et ceux du Collège Camosum ont accueilli le flambeau avec enthousiasme et ont échangé leurs idées avec les coureurs de l'harmonie mondiale.
