Revelstoke, B.C.:

Four local elementary schools, Columbia Park, Mountain View, Mount Begbie and Arrow Heights participated in a multi-school torch relay run with the World Harmony Run team.

The run started at Columbia Park Elementary School. The principal, Mrs. Morris and teachers Trish Smillie and Pam Main ran about 4 km with runners from the school to meet up with students at Mountain View Elementary School.

From Mountain View Elementary, Principal Bob Cooper ran with a group of Mountain View students to Mount Begbie Elementary School, also a distance of about 4km. From there, the relay went to Arrow Heights School and back to Mount Begbie, a distance of about 8 km, to complete the relay. Bob Rogers and Keith Percevault guided the students along this section with the help of the WHR team. The students ran together passing the torch amongst themselves and also carried a Canadian and a World Harmony Run flag.

Quatre écoles secondaires unies par la Course de l’harmonie mondiale…

Quatre écoles élémentaires de Revelstoke, soit Colombia Park, Mountain View, Mount Begbie et Arrow Heights, ont participé, avec l'Équipe de la Course de l'harmonie mondiale, à un relais de flambeau multi-écoles.

Le tout débuta à l'école élémentaire Columbia Park. La directrice, Mme Morris et les professeurs Mme Trish Smillie et Mme Pam Main, ont accompagné les coureurs sur près de 4 km pour aller à la rencontre des étudiants de l'école Mountain View.

De l'école Mountain View, le directeur M. Bob Cooper a couru un autre 4 km avec un groupe d'élèves. De là, le relais s'est poursuivi de l'école Arrow Heights jusqu'à l'école Mount Begbie, pour une distance additionnelle de 8 km, ce qui compléta le relais.

Aidés des membres de l'Équipe de l'harmonie, M. Bob Rogers et M. Keith Percevault ont dirigé le peloton d'étudiants pour cette dernière section de la course. Ceux-ci ont couru ensemble, se passant le flambeau de main en main et arborant un drapeau canadien ainsi qu'un drapeau de la Course de l'harmonie mondiale.
