Sherma is a very active and respected member of the community. She has been involved in Aboriginal health, community consultation and the environment.
Her multifarious activities have included: ‘Parents Again’, which looks at boosting the self-esteem of aboriginal women; and the ‘Tolley Pond to Billabong Project’.
Sherma's activities in the community are often selfless and all contribute to peace and harmony amongst indigenous and non-indigenous Australians.
